CRP to Assist Producers Impacted by Severe Drought Conditions

Agriculture Secretary Tom Vilsack today announced that the Farm Service Agency (FSA) is modifying its Conservation Reserve Program (CRP) policies to help those affected by sustained drought conditions. Throughout this year of extreme weather, USDA has supported and delivered assistance to farmers, ranchers, and rural communities across the country.

USDA and EPA Create New Partnership to Improve Drinking Water Systems

Washington, DC - The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) and the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) today announced a national partnership to improve rural drinking water and wastewater systems. Across the country, small water and sewage treatment facilities with limited funding and resources often face challenges due to rising costs and aging equipment and pipes.

National FFA Leaders Addressed about New Opportunities in Agriculture

Winner in First Lady's Recipes for Healthy Kids Contest Announced

Dallas, Texas - USDA's Food and Nutrition Service (FNS) Administrator Audrey Rowe yesterday announced the winner of First Lady Michelle Obama's Recipes for Healthy Kids competition. The contest launched last year to challenge students, parents and other interested community members to create tasty and healthy new recipes for America's school cafeteria menus.
