Washington, DC - The National Corn Growers Association (NCGA) is a sponsor of a series of syndicated radio news features broadcast by AgriTalk, on the future of ethanol. As our country transitions to new leadership, how can the energy sector transition to a more domestic and renewable energy model? “We’re always excited to be able to get our views across in media such as AgriTalk to keep growers and others informed and involved on issues that matter,” said Rob Elliott, a member of NCGA’s Ethanol Committee who helped spearhead this effort. “Ethanol should continue to play an important role in helping expand energy security and providing a domestic, renewable energy source for years to come.” The series, “Ethanol: Industry at a Crossroads” debuted Nov. 18 and takes a look at the challenges and opportunities that lie ahead for the ethanol industry as the country transitions to a new Congress and president. The first installment featured an interview with NCGA President Bob Dickey. Other ethanol series sponsors include Monsanto Processor Preferred and the American Coalition for Ethanol. The second installment airs today and provides a look at a new study by the American Coalition for Ethanol on ethanol and lifecycle analysis, and the controversy over the Indy Racing League’s sponsorship by Brazilian sugar ethanol producers. AgriTalk is featured on approximately 70 radio stations reaching into 20 states. It has an average audience of more than 100,000 daily. |
