NCGA Congratulates Newly Announced Members of House Agriculture Committee PDF Print E-mail

Washington, DC - The National Corn Growers Association (NCGA) congratulates the newly selected members of the House of Representatives Agriculture Committee for the 111th Congress. The committee is composed of 28 Democrats and 17 Republicans, with one vacancy to be filled.

“The Agriculture Committee is responsible for issues as varied as farm programs, commodity markets, nutrition, conservation, renewable energy, and rural development, so the diverse experiences of these members will bring new ideas and energy to our work on these important issues,” said Committee Chair Colin Peterson, D-Minn.

NCGA works closely with the House Agriculture Committee on issues important to growers, including the 2008 farm bill.
